Collection: Thom Browne

Thom Browne rewrote the proportions of American tailoring. Founded in New York in 2001, the label built its reputation on the shrunken grey suit — cropped trousers, high armholes, exacting shoulders — and on details that became a uniform: red, white and blue grosgrain, the 4-Bar stripe, the family tartan. Browne won CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year three times (2006, 2013, 2016), and from 2008 to 2018 directed Moncler Gamme Bleu, tailoring's answer to alpine outerwear.

This is the largest private Thom Browne collection in the world — more than one hundred runway and archival pieces assembled over two decades by a single collector, the foremost Thom Browne collector anywhere. It concentrates on the defining runway years, 2005–2019: chesterfields and double-breasted coats in wool, cashmere and full beaver fur, hand-woven ribbon jackets, Harris Tweed and family-tartan suiting, bespoke commissions, Moncler Gamme Bleu outerwear, six-ply cashmere knits, and the extreme runway pieces — elongated knit caps, four-foot oxford sleeves — that defined the shows. Sized predominantly Thom Browne 0–2. Acquired directly from the collector. Authenticated by YP.
